Why Most People Quit ... Before They Get Started
While there may be varying reason for each individual, the majority of those who join a network marketing company, affiliate program or attempt to market a product or service on the net soon begin to realize that this internet thing is not as easy as they thought.
Many are initially lured by promises of easy, cheap and quick wealth. So their motivation for doing what they're doing is money. Nothing wrong with that ... in itself. But if that is the only motivation, most people don't have the drive to keep going and keep learning. Especially, when they find that the "quick and easy" wealth is hyperbole.
The most important thing one must realize when starting a business on the internet is that you must "love" or be passionate about what you are doing.
Realize that, to be successful, you must "pour" yourself into your daily work activities. You must become immersed in it. It cannot be something you start at 9:00 am and quit at 5 pm. It must be something you live and breathe.
If you lack the passion and motivation needed to become an expert in your field of endeavor, bumps in the road will certainly derail your commitment and you will quit or bounce to another program where you will exoerience the same results.
The solution is to "search your own backyard for your diamond," so to speak, for your passion, interest, hobby and even your own experience. Then convert that into valuable sought after content on the web. Then you can build and monetize your website traffic.
Then you will have a genuine money-making internet business.

Why NOW Is The Best Time To Start A New Business Online
It was not until the industrial revolution around 1900 a.d. that people were lured from their businesses and farms to the factories in the cities.
Our educational system was built on this and is still teaching us based on the notion that we need to be marketable for a good "J.O.B." (Just Over Broke). Still, smart kids are dropping out at an alarming rate and becoming voters who will sacrifice their liberties for a government who will take care of them. Maybe they instinctively know that the system does not teach them what they really need to know to be financially independent.
Now, with unemployment in double digits, it is imperative that people go back to what made this country great. We need to become a nation of entrepreneurs and small business people.
Why? Power. The desire for it is a dominant feature of our current political climate. The result is that no matter who comes out on top between political rivals, government ends up with more power than the constitution prescribed.
Until you, me and every rational citizen of this country take back OUR OWN PERSONAL POWER, then collectively we will find ourselves under more and more control of a power hungry government.
Your personal power comes from your ability to create your own wealth by the free exchange of values between people. The more people you provide value to, the more value you receive.
When more and more people become financially independent as a result of a business they built with their own hands, then they begin to naturally share common interests. And, they will vote accordingly!
Don't wait for your job or your industry to shed jobs. Small businesses are wise not to hire right now since they don't know how much of their earned values will be usurped by by those who feel it is their moral imperative to redistribute wealth to provide for those looking for a hand-out.
At times like this in the past, there has been a tidal wave of people looking to make money by starting a new business. Don't wait until there is a tidal wave of competition. Start your own online business now and be ahead of the masses who will 'react' to impending financial disaster.
An online business provides the most likely chance for success. However, it does require some knowledge and training. An online business can also be started on a tight budget.

Carve Out A "Niche" From Your Passion, Experience, Hobby, Interest . . .
So, why do so many try and fail?
When you break it down to the basic reason, you find that most people take what they think they know about marketing in general (offline marketing), and attempt to apply it to the online world. It is the difference between the two worlds and acting or not acting upon that which makes the difference.
The main factor of success in the offline world is location. The physical location of your business is one example. It could be the location of real estate. It can also be the location of your advertising in paper media or on broadcast media. There's an old saying in the offline world, "Location! Location! Location!"
The power of location means that because of the "high traffic" in these locations the businesses in the area are successful because of the high number of people who are exposed to their business by just passing by. Each individual business located in that shopping area is a "niche" within that market.
In the online world, no one will just happen to pass by your site. Human behavior on the internet is totally different than how they behave offline. Overwhelmingly, the main activity engaged in by humans on the internet is searching for information.
Most likely, there are people on the internet looking for some type of information that will save them some money, time or both.
