Thinking about selling online?
Every year more and more customers are shopping online. A large segment of online shoppers shop almost exclusively online. If done right, you could end up with a very "pleasant" problem. I'll explain a little later.
But before you go rushing off to find the cheapest, quickest hosting and website builder you can find, there's something you should be very clear about...
Most small business websites end up becoming little more than an expensive internet brochure. Insufficient traffic to support a one man business. Let's face it folks, it takes a steady stream of hundreds to thousands of visitors a day to make serious online income.
How do you avoid becoming another rock on the heap of quick, cheap websites that become expensive oline brochures?
The secret is there is no secret. You need the right tools, process, software and help. The rest is your own brains and motivation.
And oh, about that "pleasant" problem you'd love to have as an online marketer of hard goods...

Can Anyone Make Money Online?
Or Is It Out Of Reach For The Average Person...
There are many people who will testify to having attempted to start an online business. They either had something they created which they wanted to sell online, joined an MLM and wanted to grow their organization using online resources, or they have an existing traditional business, also known as "off-line businesses," and wish to expand their customer base online. Ninety-Nine percent of them fail. Is it because they didn't have enough capital to invest? The economy? Or is it due to the fact that only the extremely talented or already wealthy can succeed online? Is the average person doomed to failure for even trying?
The truth is, anyone, even someone with no prior marketing or sales experience can succeed online.
How?
Self Discovery
No, I don't mean any new age transcendental, self talk mumbo-jumbo! I mean discovering what it is about you that other people can benefit from. Upon self examination of your skill-set, experience, talent, knowledge and even hobbies you may discover something that a whole ton of people would love to know.
People are making money online on everything from e-books to exotic animals. It's all about educating yourself. You must know if your potential audience is large enough to drive a real business. You must also be aware that a market (audience) may be to large to tackle.
A Quick Education
If you've tried to succeed online but still don't know the "secret," relax. there is no real "secret." Those who provide real and valuable products and services to the home-based internet marketer aren't afraid to tell you exactly how they do it.
One of those people is Ken Evoy. He is the owner of SiteSell Services. He is always available to answer questions from people who are looking for answers and assistance in moving their businesses forward on the internet. Ken and his company provide so much information on how to succeed online that you could practically do it all on your own after absorbing it all.
So yes, anyone can make money online but it does take a certain amount and type of know-how. It also makes a difference what it is that you are marketing online. It requires developing skill-sets that you currently do not possess.
The question becomes, what are YOU bringing to the table? Unless you seek out and find the "right" people to help you, you will need a full university education in marketing to succeed online plus all of the technical know-how and hardware to go it all alone.
With great people and companies like Ken Evoy and SiteSell Services all you need to bring to the table is your brains and motivation. They can do the rest.

Getting Found On The Internet: How To Attract Your Target Market On A Limited Budget
Getting found on the internet and attracting people who are actively looking for whatever it is your business offers is a supreme challenge for at least 97% of all small businesses whether they blog, build a website or both. If you are doing neither, you are not a serious internet business. And if you think that beautiful website provided by your company is going to attract your target market, forget it! Those websites brand your COMPANY, not you. Plus, search engines ignore sites that are replicated (Duplicate sites with the only difference being the affiliate code in the link) The "secret" to getting found by your "target market" lies in one simple concept:
Give your future customers great information, advice, instructions, etc. using your own expertise, experience, skills, etc., at your website or blog. They will thank you for it and the three factors mentioned above will be present sufficiently to allow you to suggest they visit your sales site to purchase or join. In most instances, a lead will be generated by the prospect initiating contact for questions or more information.
In internet marketing, providing this is information which is tailored to your target market is known as providing "content."
The quality and quantity of your "content" will determine the quality and quantity of FREE search engine traffic you attract.
Who or what determines you content's quality? Search engines do with their super secret algorithms. And of course, the ultimate judge of your content... your visitors.
According to Ken Evoy of SiteSell services, Inc., quality content "pre-sells" the traffic it attracts rather than try to sell visitors which is a big turn-off. This pre-selling content allows the visitor to feel that you know what you're talking about and are not trying to "sell" them, you have their best interest at heart, and so they like you.
At SiteSell Services this process of creating valuable and relevant content, which then attracts search engine traffic, which then pre-sells that traffic and then montetizes that traffic by redirecting it to a sales page is known as CTPM. CONTENT => TRAFFIC => PRE-SELL=> MONETIZE.
Why does it work? Because it works hand-in-hand with the way people naturally use the internet! It's that simple. Not easy, but simple. It does take work to create quality relevant content. It takes work to research your target market and determine their wants and needs.
If you are willing to work hard and create real value on the net, learn more about CTPM and how it can help YOUR business.

Give Them What They are Looking For!!!
That's a little too simplified. Perhaps it would be good to review a couple of terms used above in the introduction. One term used above is "target." In the context of internet marketing, all of your marketing communications must speak to the needs, wants, desires, fears, aggravations, frustrations, etc., of those who want or need what you offer.
Another term used above is "attracting." It seems self-explanatory but then why are 97% of online businesses unsuccessful at "attracting" enough targeted visitors their websites or blogs? Attracting the "right" people to your website or blog is more important than how many people you attract. More importantly, if you are on a very limited budget, search engines still provide you with the most opportunity for free targeted traffic that can generate an impressive online income.
But the question remains...
Who Are The People Looking Online For What I Offer And What (If not to buy my product, service or opportunity) Are They Looking For???
Want the truth? People go online for one basic thing - Information! Now that requires a little more explanation. Even if they are just on FaceBook, people are looking for information about their friends - what they're doing, events, etc.. Search engines, the best and FREE source of targeted traffic are where you future customers are... Meet them where THEY start... SEARCH ENGINES!
What people are definitely NOT looking for (Once they've found you in the search engines), is to be sold something... At least not until three psychological factors have been satsified in their mind...
- Before they will buy from you they must feel they KNOW you
- They must LIKE you
- They must TRUST you
Give your future customers great information, advice, instructions, etc. using your own expertise, experience, skills, etc., at your website or blog. They will thank you for it and the three factors mentioned above will be present sufficiently to allow you to suggest they visit your sales site to purchase or join.
