Should You Build A Website Or Blog?
Ok... you know to build a business on the internet, whether a brand new business or an existing "off-line" business, you need some internet "real estate."
Internet real estate is any place on the internet where information about you or created by you can be found by you or others. Obviously, the more real estate you own the easier it is to find you on the net.
The other thing about internet marketing that you probably are already aware of is the need to generate enough "traffic" to your internet real estate to support at least one person (You!) with income.
Some people swear by blogging, others say building a website is the best way for most businesses to build a long-term, profitable and professional presence on the net. Still others tell you that social marketing is the best way to start an internet business.
Before you invest a lot of time and money in your internet venture it would be smart and necessary to determine the most appropriate platform from which to launch. Right?
The answer is...
It depends.
It depends on what type of business you are operating.
And the bottom line... is that for most businesses, blogging has not produced any business growth or income for most who have tried or are using it currently.
While there are some exceptions, businesses need a website that serves the people who are their;
1. Target market
2. Possible customers who are actively searching the net for information indicating an impending "buying" decision.
Think about it...
When you do a search for information, do get a lot of blogs in your top results from the search engine?
If someone is searching for information about great vacation spots, the information about a particular spot may be buried in an entry made a year ago!
The way a good website is arranged, visitors can find the information they are particularly interested in much easier.
